Oops! I entered something in a field with a pop-up menu, and now I can't get rid of it. There isn't a "clear" or blank option in the list. What do I do?

To clear an entire text area when you have made an incorrect selection from a menu, when there is no other option available that's appropriate for the situation, go to the incorrect text and:

  • On Macintosh: hold down the "option key" and hit the "delete" key (option-delete)

  • On Windows: hold down the right mouse key until a menu comes up, and choose "cut" from the menu.
