Outstanding National State School Nurse Consultant

The National Association of State School Nurse Consultants, Inc. (NASSNC) in collaboration
with Bayer Corporation has named Phyllis Lewis the recipient of the 2001 Outstanding State
School Nurse Consultant Achievement Award. The award recognizes Phyllis as the state school
nurse consultant who has demonstrated excellence in the role.
The selection criteria areas by which Phyllis was deemed to be outstanding included the following:
Phyllis will receive her award at the National Association of School Nurses annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona in June. She will also be recognized for receiving the Outstanding State School Nurse Consultant Achievement Award at the American School Health Association conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico in November.
Phyllis Lewis is an exemplar for nurses and for nursing. Her personal and professional accomplishments are stellar and distinguish her as an exceptional recipient of the Outstanding State School Nurse Consultant Achievement Award.
